Pre-med Biology Major with Music Minor

I'm Levi. I'm currently a sophomore at East Tennessee State University studying Biology with ambitions to go to med school. I love science, I love math, and I love playing trumpet. I have held a 4.0 GPA all throughout high school and a 3.9 GPA in college. I am currently playing trumpet in upper level ensembles at ETSU, and have placed in many regional honor bands in high school, the highlight being 2nd alternate for Tennessee All State Jazz.

I have wanted to be a doctor or scientist of sorts since I was 8 years old, but high school brought me new ideas. Playing in the jazz band made me passionate about creating music. I practiced for hours at a time every single day from my sophomore year until I graduated, and I decided to be a music performance major my first year in college. Being a music major was fun, but I grew to miss my academic classes. I'm now taking music as a minor instead of a major and am again pursuing medicine.

I want to give back to other students and help them find success in reaching their goals, whether through academic help or trumpet lessons. Helping younger students will not only be rewarding in itself, but will also help me gain teaching experience and develop people's skills for my career. I look forward to working with you!
