Thank you for considering me as your tutor. I bring over a decade of experience in education, youth development, and nonprofit leadership, which has prepared me to support students with a wide range of academic needs. I hold a Master’s in Nonprofit Management from University of Maryland and a Bachelor's in Nonprofit Management from the University of Tennessee. I’ve also completed training in youth leadership development, program design, and grant writing.
My tutoring and teaching experience spans middle and high school students, as well as adults in workforce readiness and college preparation programs. I've taught in classroom settings, led one-on-one tutoring sessions, and developed enrichment programs for underserved communities. My approach is student-centered, combining structure with flexibility. I use scaffolding, real-world examples, and culturally responsive methods to help students connect with content meaningfully.
Whether it’s improving reading comprehension, writing skills, social studies understanding, or preparing for college, I focus on building confidence and critical thinking. My background in nonprofit work also helps me support students holistically, addressing academic and personal development goals.
I'm passionate about empowering learners and equipping them with tools for lifelong success.
