I’m Antonio, a University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign graduate with a B.S. in Engineering Physics. My studies covered advanced calculus, differential equations, and linear algebra, along with classical mechanics, electromagnetism, special relativity, thermodynamics, and quantum physics (my favorite area). I even worked in a quantum physics lab one summer. I tutor math and physics from Algebra through Calculus, AP Calculus AB/BC, AP Physics 1 and C (Mechanics/E&M), introductory college physics, and ACT/SAT math (I earned a 35 ACT).
I’ve formally tutored three high-school learners so far and have also supported college peers in upper-level coursework. Most recently, a high-school student who was struggling in Physics finished the term with an A after we rebuilt his approach to problem solving for homework and tests—identifying what’s given, mapping the target, and choosing the right tools to bridge the gap.
My method is simple and effective: start by listing what you already know, clearly state the goal, then construct the step-by-step path between. The key to many problems hides in the givens; I train students to spot and use those clues systematically. No question is a bad question—every “why?” is a chance to connect the dots. Whether your aim is to understand a class, secure a specific grade, or prepare for ACT/SAT math, I tailor examples, pacing, and practice to your goals so you leave each lesson clearer and more confident.
