Hello! My name is Julia. I have always been passionate about teaching and working with children. My approach in teaching is for students to reach their full potential academically while fostering a love for learning. I find fulfillment in helping children surmount any learning struggle they might encounter. I believe in connecting with students through kid-level energy, staying attentive to their needs, and being patient as well as compassionate. I love creating an atmosphere where children feel calm, comfortable, and accepted while they grow academically and build their confidence. Learning should not be boring! I intertwine games and fun interactions to keep the students' interest in their learning process. I take the responsibility of tutoring seriously, and communicate openly and respectfully with both the student and the guardian. My personality is approachable and outgoing.
I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and was the valedictorian of my class. I have taught part-time in fifth and sixth grade and currently tutor students in elementary math. I have had many years of experience as a teacher's assistant, as well as a children's class leader (2018-current). My teaching assistant experience includes substituting teaching, resolving behavioral issues with students, personally engaging students, and leading activities for children. In my experience as a teacher, I have prepared lessons, managed classrooms, developed activities, assisted children with memorization assignments, delegated jobs to other workers, and developed relations with children's parents.
