Hey Everyone,

Thanks for checking out my tutor page! I recently graduated with a double master's degree from SMU in Dallas, TX in music composition and music theory! I have taught at the collegiate level in Music Theory, Composition, Music History, and Ear Training. Each lesson is specific to you as my student where I look at your homework, piece, or musicianship homework and come up with a unique way to approach them. There are so many ways to approach music theory, and your teacher may teach in a way that is not compatible with you, and I can help you discover the easiest way for you to learn music theory and build a curriculum from there! My favorite part of teaching is seeing the lightbulb click on for each student and no matter what, I am going to work with you to have that lightbulb click each lesson. I want each of my students to be comfortable and confident in their theory class, composition, ear training, or history lesson! After each lesson with me you will thoroughly understand the topic that you brought to the lesson and be confident moving into your next class.

Each lesson is going to be recorded for each student so that they can go back and view the lesson in their leisure if the need to, and I am available by text and email and get back to you as soon as possible.

Along with teaching specific subjects, I have been a professional musician for the last 7 years and I understand how to survive and thrive as a musician. There is a joke that a music degree is a "coffee house job" degree. Well, that may be for some people, however I refused for that to happen to me, and I can help you do that as well! Music is an incredibly vast field, and I can help you navigate the next steps after graduation. I am free most times of the day and am flexible to making sure that you are confident in your material!
