I am a licensed and certified mathematics educator with more than 25 years of experience helping middle and high school students become stronger, more confident math learners. Throughout my career, I have taught mathematics from foundational middle school courses through advanced high school mathematics, and I have also served in educational leadership and as a mathematics department chair. I hold a Master of Education degree and bring both extensive classroom experience and individualized instructional expertise to every tutoring session.

My approach to tutoring begins with understanding where a student is right now. I identify gaps in understanding, explain concepts in a way that makes sense to the individual student, and help students develop the problem-solving skills they need to become more independent learners. I believe effective math tutoring is about more than completing tonight's homework. Students need to understand why the mathematics works, recognize patterns, make connections, and develop the confidence to approach challenging problems without immediately believing they cannot do them.

I work with students in Pre-Algebra, Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, and Pre-Calculus, as well as students who need support strengthening foundational math skills. My tutoring style is encouraging, structured, patient, and highly personalized. Whether a student is struggling in a course, trying to close learning gaps, preparing for an upcoming assessment, or ready to strengthen their skills and move ahead, my goal is to meet that student where they are and help them experience genuine progress.
