Hi! I’m Jewel. I have a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Mississippi State University, where I tutored College Algebra, Precalculus, and other math classes in our campus math help center. I then got my master's degree in mathematics from the University of Tennessee. While there, I held a position as a graduate teaching assistant (GTA). As a GTA, I tutored in the campus math help center and taught College Algebra and Basic Calculus.

Through the years, I found and deepened a passion for teaching math and communicating challenging concepts in a clearer way, based on the needs of each student. I look forward to helping students understand math in a way they haven’t before!
