Hey! This is my first experience attempting to formally tutor. I helped a lot of my friends back in high school since a lot of them were in college classes with me. I've been told that I'm a good tutor, and I regularly bring home "A" grades. I try to adapt my teaching style to who I'm teaching. Every person learns differently, and I try my best to accommodate that. I'm willing to negotiate a lower rate, especially considering I'm new to professional tutoring.

I graduated in May of 2021 with my associate's of arts from Pellissippi State Community College, and I'm currently pursuing a degree in psychology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. In particular, I excelled in biology at community college, General Biology 1 and 2 being the only two college courses that I passed with a course grade of 100%. Science speaks to me in a way no other subject does, but that's not to say I can't tutor other subjects as well.
I have a keen eye for general English mistakes. I see a lot of students that regularly use incorrect subject-verb agreement, the wrong spelling of their/there, and many other things that I would consider basic grammatical mistakes. I wouldn't say that I'm the absolute best at proofreading, and a lot of my own writing to this day occasionally has grammatical mistakes and "awkward wording." Nonetheless, if you're struggling with especially K-12 writing, I could easily proofread your writing or teach you how to proofread your own writing.
I'm probably one of the more relaxed tutors out there. I'm not going to insist on a teaching style that isn't working for you, and Im certainly not going to get mad at you for not immediately understanding the material. Learning is a process that takes time, and I'm willing to stick it out for as long as you need me.
