My name is Dr. Aaron, and I have over 7 years teaching experience at the undergraduate level. While my doctoral degree is in American History, I have also taught World Civilization (including everything from the beginnings of human history up until the present).
Student feedback on my teaching performance show that I consistently rank high in openness to students’ views, enthusiasm, and effectiveness in teaching material. The greatest compliment I can receive is for a student to say "I never liked history before, but I enjoyed this class." I consider myself an energetic and passionate teacher who genuinely tries to make history more about compelling stories than simply names and dates.
I have written a doctoral dissertation and, in my role as a college professor, have graded countless essays. I therefore know what instructors/professors are looking for in written assignments and can offer students helpful advice with their own writing.
Trained as an American historian with a special research interest in the Civil War, I have also taught World and Western history. Receiving a Master's degree from a seminary and teaching World Civilization classes makes me knowledgeable in topics related to religion. In short, my academic career has given me a great degree of academic versatility.
I genuinely look forward to helping you learn AND helping you enjoy learning more about history. I want you to succeed, and will endeavor to make history more clear and more fascinating for you.
