My son was dreading this class but with Billy’s help he not only understood it he enjoyed it and found it very interesting. Billy was easy to reach, very flexible with scheduling and an incredible teacher. We cannot thank him enough! Highly recommend!!!

Fantastic Chemistry teacher!

A very knowledgeable teacher. My older daughter used him for her advanced high school chemistry last year - and now my younger daughter just started and really liked working with him. He really breaks it down and explains everything and demystifies it all. Highly recommend him!

Very helpful Organic I and Organic II Tutor

I received from Billy Wayne in Organic Chemistry I and II (both the lecture and lab sections), and I found him super helpful. He is really great at breaking down concepts and addressing points of confusion. I like that he sends you the notes he takes on different problems at the end of sessions so that you can refer back to them when needed. I find this much more efficient than looking back at the recorded sessions through Wyzant to try to study what we went over. I would recommend using his notes to study because they are often more in depth than the notes you would go over in Organic Chemistry class lectures or labs. Billy Wayne also has many textbooks that he refers back to as a means of ensuring that the way in which problems are done align with how your class does them. He was also helpful in sending me resources when needed. From strictly an Organic Chemistry content perspective, I found him particularly helpful in teaching me mechanisms, synthesis problems, and IR spectroscopy problems. He is really great at providing strategies for how to go over these problems, so that you don't have to approach these problems completely dry. Oftentimes the strategy in Organic Chemistry classes is to mess practice problems until you get them right, but Billy Wayne makes this learning curve much easier to deal with. Billy Wayne has really great availability that worked with my schedule especially when I was working until late at night, so he's great for a college student with an unpredictable schedule. In general, Billy Wayne is a really nice and patient tutor and I would definitely recommend him!
