I have a B.S. in Mathematics, Computer Science option, from The University of Texas, Arlington, with a Minor in Engineering, and specialize in tutoring several Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Excel and MS Project, 2003-2019, and MS 365 versions.

I worked as a programmer/systems analyst for more than a decade before moving into Project Management. I have been working with Windows on PC systems almost since their inception.

Originally, I gained expertise with WordPerfect and Lotus 1-2-3. Then, I switched in the early 90's to Microsoft's Office applications, i.e., Word, Excel and PowerPoint, as they became the industry standards.

My greatest expertise is with MS Excel and MS Project, where I have used pivot tables, charts, and schedules for reporting analytics relating to program/project status and production data, and then copied the charts into MS PowerPoint to present to all levels of management, including C-level executives.

My greatest expertise with MS Office products is with Microsoft Excel. I spent three years becoming proficient with pivot tables and charts on Office 2003, and have now transferred my expertise to MS 365. Much of my time as a project manager is spent monitoring projects and creating status charts, customized for the audience I'm presenting to, and then transferring the charts into PowerPoint slides for presentation to those audiences. I have also worked with complex formulas, cubes, and many types of formatting, including the new Sparklines and Slicer features, beginning with Excel 2010.

I am a certified project manager (PMP and CSM) with extensive experience in engineering and software development program and project management. I first started using MS Project in 1996 on the '95 version, received training on the '98 and 2003 versions, and currently use MS Project 365 Online.

I have worked as a technical project manager for over 20 years, both in software and hardware engineering programs/projects. At my most recent employer I was selected as the planning/scheduling SME for the engineering department. I also led a group of project engineers in creating and delivering a class which was an overview of the PMI (10) Knowledge Areas from the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
