I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Pre-Health from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, graduating cum laude. I later earned a Master of Science in Pharmacology from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center. I am now a medical student at Lincoln Memorial University, where I am currently at the top of my class. My education has given me a strong foundation in psychology, biology, anatomy and physiology, and pharmacology. I am also open to tutoring biomedical subjects such as histology and microbiology. I enjoy helping students understand challenging material and connecting what they learn to everyday life and healthcare.
For three years, I served as a First Year Studies Teaching Assistant at UT Knoxville, supporting college freshmen through classroom activities and individual guidance with assignments, study habits, and time management. I also spent two years as a Resident Assistant and three years as a Mentor through UT Success Academy. In both roles, I offered homework support to my residents and mentees, helping them work through questions and understand assignment expectations. During graduate school, I worked in the Academic Success department, helping students access campus resources to support their academic progress.
My approach is patient, encouraging, and tailored to each student. I break complex topics into smaller steps, use relatable examples, and ask questions that help students explain concepts in their own words. When helping with homework, I guide students through the reasoning so they can apply what they learn to future assignments. I also help them explore study strategies such as active recall and spaced repetition. Above all, I want students to feel comfortable asking questions and know that struggling with a topic is a normal part of learning.
