I hold a PhD in Human Geography with a focus on urban development, socio-economic inequality, climate justice, political ecology, critical social theory, and environmental sociology. My teaching career spans more than 15 years — beginning with one-on-one high school tutoring, progressing through graduate teaching assistantships, facilitated seminars and workshops, independent instruction, and curriculum and course design, and extending into faculty-level mentoring and academic coaching at the post-secondary level in Human Geography. I have guided students from foundational writing and critical thinking through advanced research design. My scholarly work has been recognized through competitive fellowships, grants, and research and teaching appointments.
I work with students at all levels — from AP Human Geography and AP Environmental Science to undergraduate and graduate coursework, research methods, and dissertation development in the social sciences. My approach is direct and rigorous. I give honest feedback that would facilitate clarity and critical thinking. Every session closes with something concrete: a clearer argument, a stronger methodology, or a specific, actionable next step. I offer a complimentary 15-minute introductory call before our first session, and I ask for a minimum of 24 hours' notice for any cancellations — all policies confirmed by email before we begin. Please reach out and let us discuss how I can support your work.
