I am a licensed Professional Engineer who graduated with a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and graduated Summa Cum Laude. In my degree I excelled at many math and science courses including all levels of Calculus and Differential Equations, and three levels of Physics, which make up the building blocks of all engineering study. These courses additionally require a solid understanding of topics like Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

As a student I took study sessions seriously and often would tutor my classmates on difficult topics and help them prepare for tests. It was at this time I realized how much I loved tutoring subjects that I understood well.

Since graduating, I have been working professionally as an Electrical Engineer for 6 years and I am licensed as a Professional Engineer in multiple states. I currently lead a team of engineers and I often hold educational sessions in which I explain technical topics to the team. I am happy that I still have the opportunity to coach team members on their questions on engineering topics.

As a tutor, I am a patient and understanding guide who will break down problems into steps and help you look at concepts from a variety of viewpoints. Before moving on to the next lesson I will make sure you are comfortable using the topics we’ve just covered. I believe in a no-anxiety approach to learning that can make technical problems fun by relating them to real life, and I gain a great deal of satisfaction from helping others become successful at these topics. My goal is to build confidence in your math and physical abilities that will lead to a lifetime of being able to solve problems of all kinds!

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

Algebra is the most important building block in precalculus and calculus. Having a good understanding of Algebra unlocked many doors for me in achieving an Electrical Engineering degree, and I used Algebra daily to break down problems into their simplest forms. I often helped other students see tricks to understanding how Algebra can describe functions and word problems. Now, I am continuing to help students conquer this subject and move on to even more interesting topics!
Algebra 2

Algebra 2

Prealgebra

Prealgebra

Prealgebra is an important step to understanding higher levels of math like Algebra, Precalculus and Calculus. Solving equations using variables is something that I did every day while working on my electrical engineering degree, and I am now continuing to ensure that this topic is clear and simple to other students. My goals are to remove the barriers that anxiety and the classroom environment can put in front of you, and build the confidence to boldly move forward onto other interesting math subjects!
