I've been tutoring for roughly four years, covering a variety of math courses and each undergraduate chemistry course mandated by the American Chemical Society. By cultivating a supportive environment, I’ve helped students with anxiety, ADHD, dysgraphia, dyscalculia, and dyslexia improve their grades significantly and quickly, often from failing grades to a B or above.
I believe that by being patient with students, providing encouragement, and making learning less stressful, I can help accelerate their academic growth. A student’s emotional state has a much greater impact on their ability to learn than most educators realize, and the right blend of enthusiasm and kindness can help any student absorb material they might otherwise struggle to grasp.
I graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry, a minor in Physics, and a strong proficiency in mathematics up to and including multivariable calculus. My three years of experience as a chemistry teaching assistant complement my tutoring experience, and I thoroughly enjoyed helping students in both contexts. I scored in the 98th percentile on the GRE Analytical Writing section, and I’m excited to use my multidisciplinary expertise to meet a diverse array of students’ needs.
