Greetings and welcome! As a certified English teacher and librarian, it is my goal to help you or your student achieve their reading, spelling, and writing goals. I have been a teacher for over 10 years, during which time I fell in love with tutoring reading to students with dyslexia and other reading difficulties.
I have attended intensive Orton Gillingham and morphology trainings through the Reed Charitable Foundation and have extensive experience working with students from early elementary through adult in a multi-sensory way that "sticks" with them as they work to achieve their academic goals.
My tutoring is "multi-sensory" meaning that tutoring often takes the form of using more than one sense at a time. This helps the brain fully synthesize information and better retain it for later retrieval. In addition, I am going to be your biggest cheerleader! Your success is my success!
