With a lifetime of educational and technical experience, I provide high-quality tutoring designed to help students master complex subjects and build lasting academic confidence. I hold a Master’s of Secondary Education from the University of Tennessee, Chattanooga, and a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering from Georgia Tech. I am a licensed Tennessee Professional Teacher with endorsements in 6-12 Mathematics, K-12 Computer Science, 6-12 Physics, and Middle Grades Science.

I have a proven track record of supporting students with diverse learning needs. I have extensive experience helping children with learning differences, adapting my pacing and communication to ensure every student feels supported. Whether a student requires additional scaffolding, alternative explanations, or a more structured environment, I tailor my approach to meet their specific learning profile.

My teaching philosophy is rooted in a direct instruction methodology. I believe that clarity is the foundation of learning. I provide highly structured lessons that break down sophisticated topics into clear, manageable steps. By utilizing explicit modeling and guided practice, I ensure students achieve mastery of the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced applications.

I have experience teaching and tutoring the following subjects: Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Precalculus, Calculus, AP Statistics, Physics, and AP Computer Science Principles. I have a bit of experience in Python programming as well through my sponsorship of the coding club at my current school.

My career spans beyond the classroom, including experience as a business owner in the fiber optic industry and as a field supervisor in law enforcement. These roles have refined my ability to lead with patience and explain technical systems to individuals of all backgrounds.
