Hi! I'm Dr. Nicole D, a professional bassoonist, composer, and performer specializing in chamber and church music since the 1990s. I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts (D.M.A.) in Bassoon Performance (2009), a Master of Music (M.M.) in Bassoon Performance (2002), from Cincinnati College-Conservatory and a Bachelor of Music (B.M.) in Bassoon Performance (1999).

Throughout my studies, I had the privilege of training under William Winstead for bassoon, former first bassoon in Cincinnati Symphony and president of International Double Reed Society. I also studied composition with Alan Sapp, Krystal Grant. Their mentorship deeply shaped my approach to performance, pedagogy, and musicianship.

On Wyzant, I offer personalized online lessons in bassoon, piano, composition, music theory, and classical music appreciation. Whether you're a beginner or an advanced musician looking to refine your artistry, my lessons are tailored to your unique goals.

Beyond teaching, I manage a YouTube channel, where I share performances, original compositions, and collaborations I also perform with the B# Chamber Trio, dedicated to bringing high-quality chamber music to local communities and churches. I always go the extra mile to prepare students for honor bands, summer festivals and scholarship auditions but I am also patient with beginners.
