Hi! My name is Zack, and I’ve always been passionate about helping people understand math in a way that finally makes sense. I hold four associate degrees in math and science, which have given me a deep foundation in subjects ranging from elementary math through precalculus. During college, I worked as a peer math tutor, assisting students one-on-one in algebra, trigonometry, and precalculus. I also volunteered to help younger students strengthen their basic math and problem-solving skills, and I found I genuinely enjoy seeing that “lightbulb moment” when something clicks.
My tutoring approach focuses on understanding the why behind each problem rather than just memorizing steps. I take time to identify where a student is struggling, then guide them through the process step by step. I like using everyday examples and real-world applications to make math less intimidating and more relatable. My students tell me they appreciate that I’m patient, easy to talk to, and explain things in a way that builds confidence instead of pressure.
I’ve worked with learners from elementary through college, both in-person and online, and I tailor each session to fit their goals—whether that’s homework help, test prep, or long-term skill building. My goal as a tutor is simple: to make math less stressful, more understandable, and maybe even a little fun.
