Dear Parents & students,

My name is Christie and I am a pre-school teacher currently laid off due to low enrollment. I have taught 4 year old students in Bible, Phonics, Art, Science, Language and Reading with the ABEKA Curriculium. I have been teaching or assisting for the past 5 years with 18 years of experience in Children & Youth Ministry. I have tutored students ages 3-6 years in Bible and Phonics with just a few extra hours a week. These students saw improvements within months and were reading words before school end. I believe that when you start early, 3-5 years old, you can jump start the foundation of the child to a better ability to learn right from the start.

I am currently seeking my BA-Child Psychology in Early Childhood Education from Kaplan University online to improve myself in helping/assisting parents and children. I am now a mother of 4 teenagers - two in college and two in high school - and I have learned each child learns differently and that we must allow children to explore their gifts in learning to make it more exciting.
