I am a pre-medical student majoring in health sciences with a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, physiology, and psychology. I have completed upper-level coursework in human physiology, immunology, biochemistry, pharmacology, nutrition, and behavioral science, and I actively tutor classmates in these subjects. I have also taken the MCAT and improved my score from a 492 diagnostic to a 509, which gives me a strong understanding of both the content and the test-taking strategies students need. My academic background combines science knowledge with real experience applying it in research settings, clinical volunteering, and my role in the Personalized Path Honors College.

My teaching experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant, being a Resident Assistant who regularly mentors and supports students academically, and tutoring peers in one-on-one settings. I have also volunteered as a tutor/patient pal at Children’s of Alabama, where I learned to explain complex topics clearly to younger students and patients. In every setting, I focus on breaking difficult ideas into simple, memorable steps and adapting my approach to each student’s learning style. I am comfortable teaching high school, college, and adult learners, and I work best with students who want patient guidance, structured explanations, and strategies for building long-term confidence in science.

MCAT

MCAT

I started with a 492 on a practice MCAT and ended up scoring a 509 on the real exam, giving me firsthand insight into effective study strategies and test-taking techniques. I have a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, physics, biochemistry, and psychology/sociology through rigorous college coursework and research experience. While I have not formally tutored the MCAT, I enjoy helping peers break down challenging concepts into clear, manageable steps. I am eager to help students prepare for the exam by combining content mastery with practical strategies to build confidence and improve scores.
Nutrition

Nutrition

I am a Biomedical Sciences major with a minor in Nutrition and have completed 18 credit hours in nutrition sciences, including Nutrition and Health, Lifecycle Nutrition, and Nutrition and the Consumer. I am currently taking Sports Nutrition and will be taking Nutrition and Metabolism as well as Nutrition Genetics. While I have not formally tutored in nutrition yet, I have gained hands-on experience working remotely on a nutrition study, analyzing data, and applying nutrition principles in a research setting. I am eager to help students understand complex nutrition concepts by breaking them down into clear, actionable steps and providing guidance tailored to each student’s learning style.
