Hi, I’m Samuel I’m currently a senior at Emory University, where I maintain a 3.9 GPA while pursuing a double major in Biophysics and Biology. I’ve always been passionate about learning and helping others succeed academically, which has driven me to gain diverse experiences as a tutor, educator, and researcher.
I bring over three years of tutoring experience, including two years at Mathnasium, where I taught students of all ages and skill levels. During this time, I also worked closely with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), developing personalized strategies to meet their unique learning needs. Additionally, I taught English at a TOEFL academy in Korea one summer, helping students refine their language skills and prepare for exams.
Outside of tutoring, I’ve had the privilege of engaging in advanced research at Emory’s Primate Center, where I contributed to projects studying epilepsy in monkeys. This experience enhanced my analytical thinking and gave me a deeper appreciation for scientific inquiry. I’ve also worked as a medical scribe, honing my attention to detail and ability to communicate complex information clearly—skills that translate directly into my teaching approach.
When working with students, I focus on creating a supportive, engaging, and structured environment. I tailor lessons to each student’s needs, starting with a creative introduction to new concepts and following up with guided practice. My goal is not just to help students master the material but also to build their confidence and foster a love of learning. Whether it’s math, science, or test prep, I’m dedicated to going the extra mile to ensure my students succeed.
