I have been teaching now for 9 years, 7 in the classroom and 2 online. I teach grades 1st-5th grade Math only. I had decided to join another online platform to teach on to expand my horizons. I have had many trainings in the field and have given the standardized test for my state of Texas STAAR and had excellent results from my students. I never let them give up on themselves. My math class is student centered and I allow your child to show me what they know for confidence boosting until they get to the point they are stuck then I guide them through the process step by step. I use videos at times to demonstrate and I usually do an example or two and then have the child start working the problems as I facilitate. I focus on visual and auditory while trying to use hands on the best way I can through a computer. Your child will be interacting with me the entire time through discussion of the problems and working together, and asking questions. I like to focus on one student at a time to ensure each gets the very best quality education catered to them without interruption so I like to do 1:1 sessions. All of my lessons are online/virtual setting for your convenience. I do math classes for 1st - 3rd grade currently and will be expanding to 4th and 5th once materials are ready.
