From a very young age, I knew teaching was my passion. Seeing that "ah-ha" moment on a student's face is what fuels my purpose every day.
I began my teaching journey by earning my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education in 2009 & in 2012, I completed my Master's Degree in Educational Technology. Over the past 15 years, I've gained extensive experience both in and out of the classroom. I've taught 1st and 2nd grade in the public school system, providing foundational skills in reading, writing, and math. Additionally, I've worked with students of all ages and grade levels in an online setting, where I have developed skills in creating interactive and hands-on lessons, even through a screen.
One of my most exciting teaching experiences was working as an ESL teacher for two years, helping children in China master English. Currently, I work from home as a homeschool teacher and online tutor, partnering with families to help students reach their academic goals. Whether your child needs support in reading, writing, math, or beyond, I strive to make every lesson personalized and fun!
In my classes, you can expect a dynamic and motivating environment. I believe learning should be an adventure, not a chore, and I incorporate creativity, games, and hands-on activities to keep students engaged. Even in an online setting, I pride myself on creating a classroom that feels warm, personal, and exciting. Communication is key, and I make it a priority to maintain open and consistent communication with parents. When parents, teachers, and students work together as a team, the growth we see is remarkable.
