I'm a certified educator with over eighteen years of experience teaching elementary students. With a strong focus on literacy development, I hold a Master's Degree in Curriculum and Instruction, and throughout my career, I've specialized in helping beginning readers, struggling readers, and students who just need that extra boost in confidence.
My background includes teaching 1st Grade for 14 years, where I specialized in literacy and advocated for a results-driven curriculum to help our students grow. Currently, I teach 3rd-grade reading, working with a wide range of learners and learning styles. In addition to my classroom experience, I've tutored both small groups and individuals online through a variety of tutoring companies, creating personalized lessons to meet each student's unique needs. I'm an expert in phonics, fluency, comprehension strategies, and K-3 writing.
