Bio

I'm a recently retired Disney Art Director with twenty two years at Disney as a Graphic Designer, Senior Graphic Designer and ultimately Art Director. Before my Disney career, I was also an Art Director for three CBS television affiliates in a span of over fifteen years. I've spent most of my professional careers helping students create stronger portfolios, understand the importance of their resume and prepare for professional interviews.

While I was employed, I made myself readily available to Professional Interns at Disney, spoke to design classes at the local schools and tutored designers and soon-to-be designers to help them become great contenders in the job market. Design schools are pouring out hundreds of newly graduated designers and it's so important to be totally prepared for any job opportunities that come along!

I know what makes a great design. I know what it takes to prepare for a new design, how best to start down the right path for a great design and how to showcase your work when it's complete. I know what employers look for in a designer and how to present yourself to be a top prospect. Though I'm not looking to tutor students in individual design programs, I have the knowledge to help you prepare for your professional career and I'd love to make a difference in your future.

If you're looking for someone to help you prepare your graphic design resume and portfolio- and you need to understand how best to prepare for the job market and job opportunities, then I may be just the person you need to speak to. I've helped students and new designers for most of my professional career and I'm certain that I can help you as well!

Graphic Design

There are (4) critically important areas that you'll need to address if you want a great chance at becoming an employed Graphic Designer: Your Resume, Your Portfolio and understanding how to interview well and be memorable. I have twenty two years of experience with the Disney Company as a Graphic Designer, a Senior Graphic Designer and finally many years as an Art Director. Before my Disney career, I was An Art Director for three CBS Television Affiliates spanning almost fifteen years. During my careers, I've made myself available to more students than I can remember, reviewing portfolios and resumes and giving advice on all aspects of getting employed. I've spoken to classrooms of graphic designer students and I've been on the Board of Advisors for three Graphic Design Schools. I have lots of experience and knowledge that can help you be the best you can be. I'll have two classes available with this breakdown: In the first hour, we'll discuss your Resume- how to make it as good as possible for each job opportunity and, we'll discuss job interviews and how to prepare, impress and be memorable. My second class will be all about your portfolio and what needs to be done to make it great. I allow plenty of time for questions in each lesson- and if you run out of questions, I'll have some for you!
