I'm an experienced educator with a strong background in literacy, communication, and instructional support. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Communication and a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education, and I am currently pursuing my Educational Specialist (Ed.S) in School Administration. My academic training and professional roles allow me to support students with diverse learning needs while focusing on confidence, clarity, and skill growth.

I began my career as a Special Education inclusion teacher, supporting English classes in grades 9–12 with a focus on reading intervention and ACT preparation. This role helped me develop a deep understanding of how to identify learning gaps and scaffold instruction so students at all levels can grow. I later taught Speech & Communications and English II, where I worked with students on public speaking, writing, reading comprehension, and preparation for state assessments. My teaching experience spans grades 6–12 in both general education and intervention settings.

Currently, I serve as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) Coach, supporting teachers in improving instruction, analyzing student data, and designing effective literacy practices. This work strengthens my ability to tailor tutoring to each learner’s needs and help students develop practical strategies they can use immediately. My approach is patient, structured, and student-centered. I believe in breaking complex skills into clear steps and building students’ confidence as they master reading, writing, speaking, and academic organization. I look forward to supporting your student’s growth and helping them reach their goals.

ADHD

I have a Master’s degree in Education with an emphasis in Special Education and extensive experience supporting students with ADHD in grades 6–12. As a former Special Education inclusion teacher, I provided individualized academic support, behavior scaffolding, and executive-function coaching to help students with ADHD succeed in reading, writing, and classroom organization. I have also coached teachers on effective ADHD strategies as part of my current role as a PLC Coach. My approach is patient, structured, and strengths-based, focusing on building confidence, reducing overwhelm, and teaching practical skills students can use across subjects.
Essay Writing

Essay Writing

I have extensive experience teaching writing to students in grades 6–12 through my work as an English II teacher, Speech & Communications instructor, and Special Education inclusion specialist. I have coached students in crafting clear, organized essays, developing strong thesis statements, and improving coherence and style across academic, narrative, and argumentative writing. In my current role as a PLC Coach, I support teachers in designing effective writing instruction and analyzing student writing for growth. My tutoring approach is supportive, structured, and focused on giving students practical tools to express their ideas with clarity and confidence.
Public Speaking

Public Speaking

I have several years of experience as a Speech & Communications instructor, where I taught students how to speak confidently, organize ideas effectively, and deliver engaging presentations. I have coached high school students in public speaking, interpersonal communication, debate skills, and academic presentations. My background in English Language Arts further strengthens my ability to help students with speech writing, clarity, tone, and delivery. I create a supportive, step-by-step environment that helps students overcome anxiety, build confidence, and develop strong communication skills they can use in school and beyond.
