Hello! My name is Liz, and I have always had a love for science; in fact, I've wanted to be a scientist since I was six years old. I graduated from Florida College with an honor's degree in chemistry, and then went on to complete my PharmD. from Samford University. My joy is teaching. I began tutoring in college, and have homeschooled my children through high school. Over the past year, I have taught middle school and high school science classes to groups of homeschooled students.

My primary concentration is teaching science to students in grades 7 through 12. The subjects include the following: General Science, Physical Science, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. My process for teaching generally includes a review of previous material, introduction of the new topic, a thorough teaching of the new material with lots of examples, working through practice problems with the students, and answering questions. I like to relate topics we cover to something the student might be familiar with in order to help them remember the ideas/ process more easily.
I look forward to working with your student! Please feel free to reach out with any questions you may have or to schedule a lesson!
