Bio

My love for teaching comes from a passion for discovering the unknown. With hard work and effort, I believe that everyone can become lifelong learners. As a Magna Cum Laude graduate and member of multiple honor societies (Tau Sigma and Lambda Pi Eta), I have experienced the benefits of hard work and dedication in my own life. My success inspires me to help today's youth find their path to success in academics and in life. I have had the privilege of helping students as a classroom teacher and tutor for the past 5 years. I have also been an online ESOL teacher for 5 years. This is truly the best job I have ever had!

I am a certified teacher, specializing in English, writing, reading, language arts, history and social studies. When I work with students, my goal is to challenge them, but not overwhelm them. I give rigorous assignments and provide periodic assessments and progress reports.

I have high standards for myself, so I will often ask for feedback. Your feedback helps me help you.

I try to be flexible with time. While I do have a 24- hour cancellation policy, I do offer makeup sessions.

I am qualified to tutor for the STAAR because I have helped my classroom students prepare for and pass the STAAR. Those who I worked with not only passed the test, but saw a large increase in their scores from the previous years.
