Currently, I am a Writing Tutor at Chattanooga State Community College. Previously, I had one-on-one and group tutoring experience while a student at Lee University.

I love tutoring because I love to see students have their "lightbulb" moments - when an idea or a concept finally clicks. Often, all students need to succeed is encouragement in the abilities and talents they already possess. My job as a tutor is to reveal their hidden genius!

I earned my Master of Arts in Contemporary Literature, Culture and Theory at King's College London, University of London. Before that, I completed a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Lee University.

As an undergraduate, I was a member of Sigma Tau Delta, the International English Honors Society. Through Sigma Tau Delta, I had multiple opportunities to present research papers at conferences of my peers. I was also published b the Sigma Tau Delta Review for a paper I wrote on gender and language in Chaucer's "The Franklin's Tale."

I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Lee University. My senior writing portfolio earned a place as a Top Three score in my final year at Lee. In high school, I graduated in the top 15 percent of my class, served as editor-in-chief of the school newspaper, and earned a 36 on my ACT Reading test.

I love working with students of all educational backgrounds, abilities, and experience. My expertise is in writing and rhetorical analysis, and I am also highly proficient in research skills, grammar, proofreading, and reading comprehension.
