I am a state certified teacher and have experience teaching science to students of all ages and can work with vastly different subjects. I also have math and language arts tutoring experience with students from ages 5 and up.
I understand that each learner is different and educational tactics need to be tailored to the individual. It is important for me to be able to communicate in an effective way to each and every student.

8th Grade Algebra - linear equations and slopes. Gracie was having trouble understanding the concepts and Jillian helped her grasp the material. Very warm and relates well with younger children - highly recommend her.

Ms. K has been tutoring my 8th grader over the summer in English grammar, writing skills, and reading comprehension. So far, we like the approach Ms. K has with pinpointing out my daughter's weaknesses and focusing on those areas. She comes prepared to the sessions with specific assignments for my daughter and afterwards she sends an email with a summary of what was discussed in the session. Already I have seen some improvements in her writing skills and we are anxious to see how she does in school now that they have started back. My daughter also enjoys working with her. Ms. K is very patient and knows how to communicate with her.

Jillian is awesome! My child loves her! She's very patient, and thorough. She encourages my child to like Math. Her grade improved dramatically on her final report card, all thanks to Jillian. She's great!
