Hello!
My name is John (he/him) and I am extremely passionate about all things Biology and Biology-adjacent. I have my Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and was fortunate enough to participate in rigorous research and coursework while enrolled there.
I now work for the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation as a Ranger for Tennessee State Parks, so I’ve been fortunate to utilize my degree in my career as well.
While being a Dean’s List student in my undergraduate studies, I participated in research efforts that I am still greatly passionate about. I collected replicate samples from freshwater aquatic ecosystems, and engaged microbial colonies using radioactive C-14 in order to create standardized models of Carbon Sequestration in the Tennessee River Gorge Valley.
I’ve been published multiple times as a writer, with my most recent example being in the journal “Argia: the Official News Journal of the Dragonfly Society of the Americas”.
I respect all identities and backgrounds, so please know this is absolutely a safe space. I’m here to help!
