These tutoring sessions were one-on-one in an office environment. My approach to tutoring consisted of visual aids as well as analogous and paced discussion around material to ensure total comprehension of the subject. Rather than attempting to imitate professors, I chose to be sociable and personable with my clients. This allowed them to relax and be relieved of pressure around the material we discussed.
I want to tutor using Wyzant because I enjoy helping students and watching them succeed. I also know how it feels to be tutored, as I sought tutoring at a younger age due to difficulties that arose in school. Another large motivator for me tutoring wise is that I plan on pursuing a career in education after I achieve my bachelor's degree from university. Overall, I believe I have the appropriate experience and approaches to be an excellent tutor and want to use Wyzant to achieve that.
