Certified Engineer Intern with a Fondness for Math

My name is Jackson! I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering. Additionally, I have attained certification as an Engineer Intern in the State of Tennessee.

Throughout my years of schooling, I was always quite adept in mathematics. In addition to taking a number of advanced mathematics classes in high school, I also took several honors calculus classes in college. In regard to tutoring, I have no prior formal experience. However, I did assist my peers with their coursework on occasion, sometimes even at the request of the teacher. I also occasionally assisted some of my younger relatives with their coursework, working through the problems and providing step-by-step instructions regarding the process and solution. These experiences proved quite rewarding, showing me how satisfying it can be to assist others in not merely solving specific problems, but in coming to truly understand how to go about solving such problems in general.

As a tutor, I aim to be diligent as well as patient with students. It is my goal to create a learning environment that is free of stress and is a comfortable fit for any given student's needs and wishes. Ideally, I would prefer to be provided with specific problems that I can review by myself before meeting with a student. This method should allow me to determine suitable ways to walk the student through the problems effectively. I am, of course, happily willing to discuss adjusting my approach if it does not fit a particular student. After all, tutoring is all about figuring out what works best for each student!
