I chose well when I chose Yris!

In a short time, Yris is bringing my passable Spanish, not spoken in 26 years, back to a level where I can feel confident in moving to a Spanish speaking country in the very near term. She is making it challenging and fun and I plan to continue with her through this challenge and after to bring my Spanish to a comfortably fluent level and further develop my knowledge and skills.

Exceptionally kind, patient, and supportive tutor

I honestly don’t write many reviews, but my daughter recently had a wonderful learning experience with Yris. There are many tutors available and sometimes finding the right fit can be challenging - well, we got lucky. I’m not exaggerating when I say that Yris is a fantastic tutor. She has a deep understanding of the language, and as I occasionally listened in the background, I felt like her lessons were engaging and well thought out. Additionally, her VERY kind, warm, and sweet personality created a welcoming learning environment where my (sometimes) shy daughter felt like she could ask any question - and Yris would patiently explain concepts until they were understood. My daughter had a notoriously difficult Spanish teacher at her school, but with Yris’s help, she scored well enough on her last few quizzes and exams to get a solid ‘A’ in the class (she had a B the previous semester). Sorry for the long review, but we are very grateful to have found Yris!!
