Koine, or the common Greek spoken on the street in the Roman Empire at the time of Christ and the time of the writers of the Scriptures of the New Testament, is my joy to share with any student truly interested in learning. I wish to share not only the language, but the hows and whys of translation and meaning-over-time of the words of the language. I am interested in thought and teaching thought process in reading and translation. My method is to get immediately into reading from the New Testament Scriptures, learning vocabulary and grammar as we read. For those who wish to learn the classic manner, this I am willing to do as well.
I have a BA in English/Psychology, Certificate from Episcopal Seminary (5 years), graduate studies in History, taught at Seminaries and at the University level as well as tutored at the General Seminary in New York City and high school students. Years ago I was also a substitute teacher in Brooklyn, NY and Sonoma County, California.
