I am a dedicated educator with 28 years of experience teaching and supporting elementary students in a classroom setting. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s degree in STEM Education with an elementary focus. My educational background and extensive teaching experience have prepared me to provide effective, personalized instruction in elementary math, reading, reading comprehension, foundational skills, problem-solving, and STEM-related learning.

Throughout my career, I have worked with elementary-aged students through whole-group instruction, small-group learning, intervention support, and individualized academic assistance. I have helped students strengthen academic skills, improve confidence, prepare for assessments, and become more independent learners.

My tutoring approach is student-centered and focused on meeting each learner where they are academically. I use assessment strategies to identify strengths and areas for growth, then create engaging lessons tailored to each student’s needs. I incorporate clear explanations, guided practice, hands-on activities, questioning strategies, and real-world connections to help students understand and apply new concepts.

With my background in STEM Education, I enjoy helping students develop critical thinking, mathematical reasoning, and problem-solving skills. I believe students learn best in a supportive environment where they feel encouraged to ask questions, take academic risks, and celebrate their progress.
