Math and Algebra tutor

I have been a private math tutor for 10 years. I have students ranging from 6th grade through college. I am versed in all areas of math but mainly focus on algebra. I worked for 8 years as a floating teacher for Hamilton Southeastern Schools K-12. Each day was a different classroom and a different grade which gave me such a variety of subject matter to teach. Once I stopped teaching I missed making a difference in a student's life and began to tutor.

Working one on one with a student can be even more impacting than in a group setting. I believe that when a student succeeds, whether it's a feeling of understanding a concept or through a good grade, it will make a big difference in how they function in their daily life. My goal is not only to create success academically but to create emotional success as well through a positive learning environment. I make the tutoring session fun so their minds are open to learning.

Math is something that I have always enjoyed. I love to work with numbers. I have worked with high school students with online summer algebra classes as well as tutored students in regular math. I like to help students figure out problems and show them how to get the correct answer through different avenues.

I have a BS degree from Purdue University in Business Management. I also have an AAS degree from Purdue University in Mental Health Technology.

I look forward to working with your student in whichever subject you need help in. I am available for tutoring daily except for Saturday and Sunday. I currently do my sessions virtually, but am not opposed to in person. Please contact me so we can set up a time that works for both of us.
