I am a computer scientist and cryptographer. I have more than 40 years of experience working as an innovator and disruptive technologist in advanced technology research and development. I spent most of my career working at the Naval Research Laboratory in Washington, DC, the US Navy’s corporate research facility, founded by Thomas Edison. I worked in the Center for High Assurance Systems. That’s a nice way of saying I have been hacking computers for more than 40 years.

Extremely knowledgeable and approachable
Les helped me work through an assignment I was struggling with by giving me clear and detailed explanations of the processes involved. I would thoroughly recommend him if you need help with cryptography and I'm sure he's just as capable across computer science fields. Thanks again!

Highly knowledgeable and excellent teacher.
Les was phenomenal! He was able to break down material in way I could understand it. His knowledge of ciphers and crypto is in-depth and he really communicates it in a way that is comprehendible even if your knowledge is not that great. Prior to my lesson with Les, I was really struggling computing ciphers but I now feel much more confident in my abilities. Will definitely be utilizing his knowledge again.
