¡Hola! My name is Clarissa, and I am passionate about helping students build confidence and proficiency in Spanish. I hold a Bachelor's degree in Spanish and a Master's degree in Teaching, and I have been tutoring Spanish students since 2004. In addition to private tutoring, I spent nearly a decade teaching Spanish at both the high school and college levels, working with students ranging from beginners to advanced learners.
My experience extends beyond the classroom. I studied in Spain during my undergraduate education and have traveled throughout South America, including leading educational trips with students. These experiences strengthened my fluency and deepened my understanding of the language and cultures of the Spanish-speaking world. As a fluent Spanish speaker, I enjoy helping students develop practical communication skills while building a strong foundation in grammar, vocabulary, reading, and writing.
My teaching style is supportive, engaging, and tailored to each student's goals and learning style. Whether you are working to improve grades, prepare for an exam, strengthen conversational skills, complete coursework, or become more fluent for travel or professional purposes, I create personalized lessons designed to help you succeed. I believe students learn best when they feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and actively participating in the learning process.
Over the past 20 years, I have worked with children, teenagers, college students, and adults in both one-on-one and classroom settings. My goal is to help students achieve meaningful progress while developing a genuine appreciation for the Spanish language and culture. I look forward to helping you reach your Spanish-learning goals.
