Vivian is an awesome tutor! She is very friendly and aims to make sure you really understand the material. I loved how Vivian took extra time to do research on her own, making sure she was best quailified and up to date for the paper she was helping me with. She explained the material to me in ways that were very easy to understand and actually made history interesting! I would highly recommend her!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
My skills and experience in the area of public speaking include:
1) A semester course in public speaking - Grade A
2) Three years in a debating society
3) Exercises in voice and enunciation
4) Years as a high school and university guest lecturer
5) 15 years living in England, where I was a guest speaker in literary forums
I consider myself to be an effective and credible public speaker, with years of experience and an understanding of the components of addressing a group of whatever size. Standing before an audience can be a very successful and rewarding discourse when confidence is apparent and respect for an audience, as individuals, is communicated.
