I graduated from the University of Georgia and subsequently attended the Medical College of Georgia as a Harrison Scholar. During my undergraduate studies, I served as a multi-subject STEM peer tutor and later as a lead tutor within the University of Georgia’s Division of Academic Enhancement. In this role, I supported more than 200 students over the course of three years, providing academic guidance across a range of STEM disciplines and developing a strong foundation in instructional leadership.
My academic training began in the University of Georgia Honors College, where I graduated summa cum laude with a major in biological science and minors in biology, biomedical physiology, cell biology, general business, and pharmaceutical science. My work as a STEM peer tutor during this time strengthened both my subject-matter expertise and my ability to clearly communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse learners.
After achieving a 522 on my MCAT (130,128,132,132), I transitioned to MCAT tutoring, leveraging my academic background and extensive teaching experience to support medical school applicants throughout the exam preparation process. I specialize in the Biological and Biochemical Foundations of Living Systems and the Psychological, Social, and Biological Foundations of Behavior sections of the MCAT.
My tutoring philosophy is student-centered and highly individualized. I tailor each session to the specific learning style, strengths, and goals of the student, creating a structured yet supportive learning environment that promotes comprehension, retention, and confidence. Through this personalized approach, I help students develop both content mastery and effective test-taking strategies.
With a strong academic foundation, significant tutoring experience, and a commitment to educational excellence, I am well prepared to guide aspiring medical students through the complexities of MCAT preparation and to help them achieve meaningful improvements in their performance.
