Welcome! I am a Certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor with 5 years of experience. I train small business owners how to use QuickBooks Online. I focus on the features and transaction types that are specific to their business. If they have no background, I teach them the basics of accounting, including understanding the Chart of Accounts. I make personalized training videos and reference PDFs upon request. I also setup QBO accounts for new users, clean them up from prior months or years, and catch-up books that have fallen behind. When the books are in order, owners can see how their business is doing, they can make informed business decisions, and it saves a lot of time during tax season.

Beyond small business finances, I also help with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, general computer questions, accounting, and business websites. I have 16 years of experience in PowerPoint, including animations, 9 years of experience in Excel, and have successfully completed university-level courses on accounting, computers, and Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Access). I have made dozens of websites that not only look nice, but clearly communicate to visitors what the business sells and why they’re the best at what they do.

I have set up their books for their specific business and industry, trained owners and assistants how to use QuickBooks, trained them in the basics of accounting and bookkeeping for those who find this all brand new, provided personalized training videos and reference PDFs upon request, caught up books that had fallen behind, cleaned up books that were done incorrectly, caught problems in the books they weren't aware of, and helped with specific QB features or questions (e.g., how to reconcile with Square payouts). I would love to help you achieve your singing goals and can even include Music Theory in the lessons. My expertise is in vintage songs (40s, 50s) and choral singing. My technique borrows from the safe habits of opera singers for proper breathing and vocal health, which works great for whatever genre you sing. I have spent almost 30 years listening, singing, and studying Golden Age music. I know music theory from my 5 years of piano and 3 years of violin lessons. For 5 years, I sang in the choir of a private school. We received top scores every year at competitions. We also had the exciting experience of performing a concert with other choirs at Carnegie Hall in the Carnegie Hall National High School Choral Festival.

Kayla is an excellent Quickbooks tutor. She helped me transition to Quickbooks Online, after using Desktop for 7 years. She also showed me how to rearrange my chart of accounts to get my Profit and Loss statement to correctly reflect business activity. She explained how I can use the tags to customize the Profit & Loss statement for my house-flipping business. She was able to pinpoint the places where I had made mistakes, show me how to make the corrections, and help me get my books in tip-top shape.
