Last year, I had the opportunity to data track growth in my students. This meant my students underwent specified growth testing that dissected their performance on vocabulary, comprehension of literature (informational texts and narratives), expository writing, persuasive writing, and narrative writing. I was ecstatic to see my students averaged 2.3 years growth, with my top grower showing 5 years growth! I’ve taught a logistics course called Art of Thinking, as well as broadcast journalism, journalism, AP literature, AP composition, and ELA.
I’m currently at home with my first child. It’s important to me to be present for him as much as possible, which lead me to take some time off teaching. This is a decision I did not take lightly because I adore being in the classroom and getting to be part of my students daily lives! I miss working with students and would love the opportunity to tutor your child!
