I am a certified English educator with three years of classroom teaching experience and a passion for helping students grow in their confidence and skills as readers and writers. I earned my undergraduate degree in English Secondary Education from North Greenville University, where I developed a strong foundation in instructional strategies, classroom management, and curriculum design. Currently, I am pursuing a master’s degree in Literacy at the University of South Carolina Upstate, which has deepened my understanding of reading development, intervention strategies, and the importance of individualized instruction.
Throughout my teaching career, I have had the opportunity to work with middle and high school students in both one-on-one and classroom settings. My experience has taught me how to adapt my teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of learners—whether through targeted reading support, essay and writing skill development, or preparing students for standardized tests. I believe that effective tutoring goes beyond improving grades; it’s about equipping students with the tools and confidence to become lifelong learners.
My approach to tutoring is relational, structured, and student-centered. I work to identify each student’s strengths and areas for growth, creating a personalized learning plan that builds on what they already know while addressing their challenges. Whether I’m helping a student strengthen their grammar and composition skills or guiding them through complex literary analysis, my goal is to foster a love for learning and empower them to reach their full potential.
