My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. Languages have always been my strength, passion & talent. I've completed my formal education in Germany where I grew up. I was born in Turkey. I graduated from a linguistic school, where my major was English and my second language French. In addition to that I've had a chance to utilize my skills within the European and US markets. What sets me apart is the fact that I grew up bilingual and had the best of both worlds. I consider both languages my native, Turkish, as well as German. I lived in Germany for almost 30 years and have been residing here in the US for 15 years.
Here are some of my proud accomplishments, just to name a few: I was a volunteer ESL tutor for International House in Charlotte, N.C. in conjunction with the public library system, taught German to the public with the library system as well and am currently a German instructor with a local language academy. I am a freelance interpreter/translator with the company Verbalizeit, which was featured recently on Sharktank on TV, as well as the following agencies: Fluent Language Solutions, Cross Cultural Resources, Nikki's International LLC., with the Mecklenburg County court system and surrounding counties and recently decided to take a leap of faith and launch my own business. I am also working at the airport ticketing counter with the German airline Lufthansa, where I assist passengers daily when language barriers are encountered during their daily flight to/from Munich.
I specialize in tutoring German, Turkish and ESL. I am fluent in English, German and Turkish.
I hold myself to a high standard. For that reason, I often ask for feedback and I never bill for a lesson in which the student or parent is not completely satisfied with my tutoring. It is my goal to provide personal and exceptional service to students as well as their parents and encourage the love of lifelong learning.
