Hello! I'm Bhakti! I graduated cum laude from Marquette University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Communication Studies. I later went on to earn my degree as a Physician Assistant from Bethel University. My background in both science and communication has helped me develop a tutoring style that is clear, supportive, and personalized to each student’s needs.
Throughout my educational journey, I’ve been incredibly lucky to have professors and tutors who truly shaped the way I learn. They didn’t just help me memorize information—they helped me understand it. Their patience, encouragement, and ability to explain things in a way that actually made sense had a huge impact on my confidence as a student. Because of that, I’ve always hoped to give the same kind of support to others through tutoring.
I started tutoring during my undergraduate years, where I spent 3 years working in my university’s tutoring program teaching biology and psychology. Most of my sessions were with small groups of about 5 to 10 students, which taught me how to explain concepts in different ways depending on how each student learned best. After graduating, I continued tutoring privately for 2 years, working with students in elementary science and math.
What I enjoy most about tutoring is helping students get to that moment where something finally clicks. I know firsthand how much of a difference the right mentor can make, and I try to bring that same patience, kindness, and encouragement into every session. My goal is not just to help students do well academically, but to help them feel more confident in themselves and their ability to learn. In order to do this, I am always welcoming more resources and feedback that students or parents may provide. I make it a priority to provide fast responses.
