About Judith

Bio

I am a child development specialist. I understand how kids grow and develop, know the importance of motivating them to use their gifts, and know that kids have undiscovered talents. I am passionate about developing a child's highest potential and discovering those gifts. What I love about working with kids is empowering them to "become who they are meant to be," while they discover that learning is really fun and they can excel at whatever they choose to accomplish.

I am passionate about developing a child's highest potential and discovering those gifts. What I love about working with kids is empowering them to "become who they are meant to be," while they discover that learning is really fun and they can excel at whatever they choose to accomplish.

I have been a classroom teacher, tutor, teacher trainer, mentor, and have written a curriculum on social and emotional development. I have created and written books, posters, and card decks online for children and families called COOL CATS Super Leadership 4 Kids, to communicate how to become a leader because leader traits begin to emerge in kids between ages 6 and 10. All children learn in different ways. Students can excel in school when they become confident and tune in to their inner strengths and passion.

I have tutored youth in English and writing skills, as well as learning vocabulary at Huntington Learning Center, Swing Education, and MindWorks. I have also been a private tutor. I have also written a curriculum for teachers and have written books, posters, and card decks for a program online called, COOL CATS Super Leadership 4 Kids.

I have worked as an Autism specialist with special education students for two years at San Ramon Valley United School District. I also have studied special needs at Denver University.

If you would like me to help with your studies I am happy to help you excel. I believe each child has the inner strength to succeed in anything they want to do. One-on-one work is the best way to learn something you are struggling with. I would like to help you accomplish your goals.

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)

Having worked with special needs high school students for the past two years, 7 were identified (in their IEP) as on the autistic spectrum. When tutoring students, I was able to anticipate their moods, and potential feelings of anger or frustration, and was prepared to be a calming force in their classes. I also have the patience, empathy, and skills to work with students to help them better understand their subject areas. I have taken online classes, and plan to take more, in serving children with trauma, and this has helped tremendously in my insights and skill-based teaching: 1) Trauma and Brain Basics Webinar 2) What Works in Trauma Treatment Webinar (International Trauma Treatment Institute – 2020)
