I have been a teacher for 16 years, teaching what I know best is my passion. In France and in Brussels, I taught German, Drama, and Tai Chi. In 2010, I was hired as a French long term sub at Hilton Head High for 4 months. Immediately after, I was hired privately by a family who had just moved to HHI from L.A. I have been tutoring their 2 home-schooled daughters since then. I tutored the 13 year old a complete French curriculum, and the 16 year old the AP French program, as well as English, following the Connexus home-schooling program.
I know that it is a challenge to find a French native tutor in the area, so here I am! I can teach between basic French to University level. I can prepare you for SAT and AP tests. I am willing to start a class if you can find at least 4 students to register: I would apply a lower rate pro person. I also do French conversation to help prepare people who are planning a trip to France. When needed, I use Skype. Since 2009, I have been working with Collegiate High School, in Richmond, VA. In 2012, the French department started an AP program and I have been writing the AP test activities that I practice with the students, using Google Chat. So far, all the students passed the AP test successfully!

I appreciated how we started. Reviewing what I already know but forgot. Also, Benedict is student focused and conformed to my requests. I am looking forward to or future lessons!
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I've been teaching French on HHI since 2009. I am also the new French teacher at Heritage Academy on HHI.

In 1997, I graduated form a two year drama curriculum in Lassaad International Drama school of Brussels, Belgium. I started a carrier in a one woman show that I wrote and performed in Belgium and in Austria in several festivals and theaters in 2000. I acted in a few episodes for a French TV movie (2001- 2002) and for a Belgian show called "The Judge" (2003). I also directed a non-professional theater troupe for a year in Lille. I co-created and was directed by a comedian for his one man show and directed a duet in Brussels.
Parallel to acting, I lead many drama workshops and summer camps in France and Belgium and one in HHI in 2010 for the Youth Main Street Theater. I emphasize on improvisations and help the actors to express their uniqueness and creativity using many techniques and exercises I learned throughout my trainings and experiences.
