I’m an experienced academic tutor with collegiate teaching experience at Georgia Tech, Vanderbilt University, and University of Wisconsin–Madison. I specialize in reading intervention, graphic design, and web development, blending analytical structure with creative thinking. My literacy instruction is grounded in the Science of Reading and informed by EBLI, Reading Simplified, and structured linguistic phonics. I help students build phonemic awareness, decoding accuracy, fluency, and comprehension through explicit, supportive instruction that builds confidence quickly.
I also teach graphic design, including Adobe Adobe Photoshop, visual hierarchy, branding fundamentals, and composition. For tech focused learners, I tutor HTML, CSS, and introductory JavaScript. I often explain that reading and coding are remarkably similar. Both rely on recognizing patterns, understanding symbols, blending units into meaning, and troubleshooting when something does not sound right. Graphic design works the same way. Strong layouts are built on patterns, structure, spacing, and visual logic. Whether a student needs foundational reading support or structured guidance in creative and technical skills, I provide clear, patient instruction that builds independence and long term mastery.
